I don’t remember if my high school even had categories in our yearbook for who was most likely to do this or that, but I’m certain that I would not have been voted as most likely to do basically any of the things I’ve done. At the time, the only thing I was sure of was that I was heading to university to do a double major in psychology and physics in order to be a professor in one field or the other. Sadly, I failed second-year calculus (seriously, how do you find the area of a ten-dimensional object anyway?), so my whole plan needed some serious modifications pretty quick.

Truth be told though, failing that class wasn’t the only reason my life took some unexpected turns to lead me to where I am today. There were lots of other things happening at the time that pointed me down a different road.

For a brief version, you can check out my past employers. If you want the longer version of just what I’ve done, then please poke around the other pages here to see how failing to properly derive equations involving multi-dimensional objects led to my career and life spanning plenty of different areas.
