A Rolling Stone
The last update I posted here had me back in Canada after a three-month stint in Costa Rica, which happened soon after I quit my job as a Copywriter at a web and marketing firm. At that point, I was still dealing with the change in temperature from Central America to Eastern Canada in the middle of December.
Now, after braving winter in Newfoundland, I find myself on the other side of the country with a string of projects in the works and numerous others completed. Most importantly, I’ve released two issues of T.O.F.U. Magazine and travelled across North America to promote the magazine, as well as a number of local organizations and musicians, through The Wild T.O.F.U. Tour. The tour lasted for roughly a month, and saw me journey as far south as Austin, Texas before heading west and up along the coast to Vancouver where I landed a little over a month ago.
With these accomplishments under my belt, my focus has now shifted to preparing to bring the magazine back to print while developing a distribution network within Canada and the United States before year end. Once this structure is in place, I hope to create a similar thing within Europe and Australia, which will then be followed by a promotional tour.
Needless to say, as is usually the case with self-employment, I’ve kept busy while on the move and I don’t see an end to either of those things. Of course, I wouldn’t want it any other way!
